Bill Borden grew up in a real estate family in Bowling Green, KY. He moved to Atlanta over twenty-five years ago to sell with the Merrill Lynch new homes division and quickly became a member of the Million Dollar Club for Life. Bill is a Certified General Appraiser, a CAI Auctioneer, and Georgia’s first Iditarod Sled Dog Race Finisher. He has a law degree from John Marshall University, has underwritten title policies for a closing attorney’s practice and now originates loans for Checkpoint Mortgage. He was named the 2009 Kennesaw Citizen of the Year.
Bill is a member of the Kennesaw, Smyrna, Marietta and Acworth Business Associations, past president of West Cobb Business Association, current president of the Vinings Business Association and a member of the Vinings Rotary Club. Bill is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History's Kennesaw Museum Foundation. He is a longtime Scouter having been a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, and Charter Organization Rep for various local troops. His hobbies are scuba diving, flying, travel, photography and his dogs. Bill and his wife Brenda have a college age son, Jordan, who attends Georgia Tech and a grown daughter, Satina, who lives in Oregon with her family.
